DESCRIPTION:FIRST ANNUAL TEAM SNIPER COMPETITION\nAugust 9-11\, 2024\nBen Franklin Range\n1130 Ridge Road\, Templeton PA 16259\n2 Person Team Event\n$500 Team Entry Fee\n \nThis event will be physically difficult. Competitors will cover upwards of 3 miles a day.\nStages will incorporate additional tasks to challenge competitors both physically and mentally. \nIt is recommended that competitors have experience in this type of physical and mental competition.\nWe are expecting teams from Special Operation Units and some of the top civilian teams in the country. \nMatch Overview \n\n2 day match\n18-22 stages over one 3 mile course\nAll stages are blind. You will have to find\, range and engage targets within a time limit.\nTargets from 100-1200 yards\nPistol targets 0-100 yards\nAll rifle targets are steel\nMinimum Round count\n\n\n\n200 rifle\n200 carbine\n100 pistol per team member (200 total per team)\nIt is recommended to bring 500ish carbine due to high round counts. If you like to miss\, bring extra ammo.\n\n\n\n\n\nTimeline: \n\nRegistration on Friday\, August 9: 3pm – 6pm\nZero Sight on range Friday\, August 9: 3pm-6pm\nEvent Brief Friday\, August 9: 6pm\nTee Times will be posted at Registration\nSaturday\, August 10: 0800-1500\nSunday\, August 11: 0800-1500\nAwards ASAP upon completion\n\nTeam Definitions: \n\nEach team will have two shooters\nOne shooter will be the “rifle” shooter and the other the “carbine”\nTargets identified as rifle only may only be engaged by the rifle shooter with his rifle and vice versa\nCompetitors will at no time switch weapons unless specifically directed by staff\n\nEquipment: \n\nIndividual competitors may use only one rifle during the match.\nThere are two Classes\, Open and Service.\n\nOpen class Rifle Requirements: \n\nMinimum Caliber .243/6mm\nMaximum Caliber: 300wm\nMax muzzle velocity: 3200fps\nAmmo subject to chrono at any time\nBolt action or Semi Auto\n\nOpen Class Carbine Requirements: \n\nMinimum Caliber .223/5.56\nMaximum Caliber: 300wm\nMax muzzle velocity: 3200fps\nAmmo subject to chrono at any time\nSemi Auto\n\nService Class Rifle Requirements: \n\nMinimum Caliber .243/6mm\nMaximum Caliber: 300wm\nMax muzzle velocity: 3200fps\nAmmo subject to chrono at any time\nBolt action or Semi Auto\nNO WMLFRs\n\nService Class Carbine Requirements: \n\nAcceptable calibers: .223/5.56 or .308/7.62 (No 243\, 6mm\, 6.5mm etc. You get NATO and you’re going to like it)\nMax muzzle velocity: 3200fps\nAmmo subject to chrono at any time\nSemi Auto\nNO WMLFRs\n\nAll long guns must have a suitable sling for carrying the rifle hands-free. \nPistols: \n\n9mm-.45\nMax 1500fps.\nCross Draw and Appendix Holsters prohibited\nMust carry holstered pistol at all times.\nHolsters must work. If your pistol falls out of the holster during any point in the competition that will result in a team DQ.\n\nAll equipment (with the exception of clothing and food/water) that the team wants to use at any point in the competition must be carried for the duration of the competition. \nAll gear must be off the ground (in your hands or bags) prior to time starting at any stage. \nCompetitors are responsible for ROing the team behind them and must be prepared to spot hits or misses. You must have good binos/spotting scope (binos strongly recommended) and a stopwatch \nScoring: \n\nScoring is based on a hit percentage system. Each stage will have a time limit. Each stage will be weighted equally.
