DESCRIPTION:Grey Sky Training\n1st Annual LE Designated Marksman\nCompetition & Conference\nApril 7 & 8\n  \nTo Register: \n2026 LE Designated Marksman Conference & Competition \n \nhttps://greyskytraining.com/event/le-dm-conference-competition-2026/ \n  \nLaw Enforcement Agencies are increasingly utilizing carbines equipped with magnified optics in dedicated overwatch roles\, both as patrol designated marksman and as SWAT Snipers with SPRs. \nIntent: The purpose of the LE DM Conference/Comp is to instill camaraderie\, build professional relationships\, and enhance tactics\, techniques and procedures in the law enforcement scoped carbine community. \nDay 1 will be a competitive training event designed to hone and test skill through performance-induced stress. Training reduces novelty and builds mental maps for officers to follow during high stress\, critical incidents. Well-trained officers and teams are more confident and less likely to commit tactical errors through poor decision making\, which reduces agency liability. \nDay 2 will be a conference with DM OIS debriefs from major agencies with formal DM programs\, presentations from industry experts\, our nationwide survey results\, vendor show\, and a counter sniper/event overwatch training block. \nAttendees and competitors must be active law enforcement officers. \nSkills: Individual skills will be tested and evaluated. These include: \n\n\n\nRifle marksmanship:\n\nKnown/Unknown distance targets\nPositional Shooting\nTripod employment\n\n\nTarget detection/Observation\nAgility/Urban Scaling\nTrajectory Clearance\nDecision making\nLow-Percentage shots/Dirty Backgrounds\nCBRN operations\n\n\n\nEquipment: Although every real-world engagement is an “open class gunfight”\, this competition is designed to enhance ability with each officer’s issued equipment and events will be designed as such. Although many will discover inadequacies with their equipment during the event\, that is yet another feature of this training format. There will be two classes: “Patrol” (5.56mm carbines using normal ammunition and a max of 10x magnification) and “Open” (.308/6ARC/6MAX/6.5CM/NAS83). \nRound count and packing list will be sent to registered competitors. Competitors will cover upwards of 3 miles a day.\nStages will incorporate additional tasks to challenge competitors both physically and mentally. \nIt is recommended that competitors have experience in this type of physical and mental competition.\nWe are expecting teams from Special Operation Units and some of the top civilian teams in the country. \nMatch Overview \n\n2 day match\n18-22 stages over one 3 mile course\nAll stages are blind. You will have to find\, range and engage targets within a time limit.\nTargets from 100-1200 yards\nPistol targets 0-100 yards\nAll rifle targets are steel\nMinimum Round count\n\n\n\n200 rifle\n200 carbine\n100 pistol per team member (200 total per team)\nIt is recommended to bring 500ish carbine due to high round counts. If your pistol falls out of the holster during any point in the competition that will result in a team DQ.\n\nAll equipment (with the exception of clothing and food/water) that the team wants to use at any point in the competition must be carried for the duration of the competition. \nAll gear must be off the ground (in your hands or bags) prior to time starting at any stage. \nCompetitors are responsible for ROing the team behind them and must be prepared to spot hits or misses. You must have good binos/spotting scope (binos strongly recommended) and a stopwatch \nScoring: \n\nScoring is based on a hit percentage system. Each stage will have a time limit. Each stage will be weighted equally. SUMMARY:BFR 2 Gun Shooting Competition
DESCRIPTION:EVENT IS SOLD OUT. \nPLEASE CHECK FUTURE BFR 2 GUN COMPETITIONS \n  \nBFR 2 Gun Shooting Competition \n$40.00 \nBen Franklin Range’s first competition will be held on January 14th\, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. EST! \n  \nOur first competition will be a 2-Gun event that takes place during the daytime. Scoring will be raw time plus penalties. Rifles\, SBRs\, MGs\, Braced Pistols\, Binaries\, PCCS\, and suppressors in all form factors are welcome. You are welcome to run one gun only but it will not contribute to the overall competition leaderboard. \n  \nStages will be designed to allow the individual to stress their gear and mind in realistic scenarios. These stages will be set up in a competition setting where rules and restrictions are at a minimum. Any rules enforced are designed to maintain the integrity of realism for the stages. Safety is our number one priority\, you can go at your own pace. If you have any questions or concerns\, please feel free to reach out. \n  \nSome examples of scenarios can include CQB-style room clearing\, fighting your way out of a vehicle\, etc. There will be 6 stages set up with a rough round count of 100 for each weapon system(200 total). \n  \nDivisions: \n●      Overt(OWB) \n○      Primary must be slung\, secondary must be holstered. \n●      Covert(CCW) \n○      Both weapon systems must be concealed. Primary can be concealed behind garments\, bagged\, or in a case. Primaries that aren’t on the person and in direct control will be stored in cruiser ready. \n  \nAmmo Caliber Restrictions: \n●      No Steel Penetrators(M855\, 7n6\, etc.) \n●      No .308+ \n  \nTime: \n–       Check-in begins at 11:00 a.m.\, shooting commences at 12:00 p.m. \n–       Expecting the first run to possibly go to 3:00 p.m.\, the second run and clean will extend past 5:00 p.m. \n  \nPrice: \n$40 + $20 for another run \n  \nYou can pre-pay here or pay with cash onsite. \n  \nCan Sign Waiver Online Before Event
